Create a “green rink” and cut your carbon footprint by +150 tons of CO2 per year

Energy, Cost and Emission Savings with REALice®

Ice rinks consume vast amounts of energy and, therefore, contribute to global warming. The REALice System will enable you to easily create a “Green Ice Rink” and reduce your emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) by 150 tons per rink per year, quickly reducing your arenas carbon footprint.

Ways to measure/calculate savings with REALice®

  • Compare current to previous utility bills for water heating and chiller usage (monitoring kWh, therms / m3 of natural gas usage / oil usage)
  • Monitor water heating use, compressor loads and running times and comparing those with previous logs
  • Install separate submeters on compressors and logging the run time and kWh usage
  • Calculate savings by entering the temperature difference for re-surfacing water and increase in brine temperature: www.realice.us/estimate
